Dr. Tri Nguyen
Dr. Tri Nguyen is native to the northwest Florida region. He graduated from Pensacola High School, and obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida. He completed his optometric education from Southern College of Optometry located in Memphis, Tennessee. As a student, Dr. Nguyen was involved in the Memphis community, and served as an officer in several optometric organizations. He was honored by his professors and peers with the distinction of Who’s Who Amongst Students in American Universities and Colleges. Dr. Nguyen was among 10 percent of his class to be selected as a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. Students were selected based on leadership, scholarship, and value to his class, college, and profession.
Dr. Nguyen completed his clinical rotations at West Tennessee Eye, the Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry, and the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Nguyen completed a residency in primary eye care and low vision at the Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center, in affiliation the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology. His interests lie in pediatric care, low vision, primary care, specialty contact lens fittings, and ocular disease such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.
