Fiction: There is nothing you can do to prevent vision loss

Actually, at the first sign of vision loss, such as blurred vision or flashes of light, you should see a doctor. If problems are detected early, depending on the cause, treatments can correct, stop, or slow the loss of vision.

Fiction: If you need corrective lenses, your eyes must be unhealthy

It is important to understand that needing eyeglasses has nothing to do with the health of your eyes. The need for eyeglasses exists simply because there is a variation of size, length, or shape of one or more parts of your eyeball. These variations normally occur with age progression. Regardless of whether you wear eyeglasses, it is important to have your eyes examined regularly to help preserve eye health.

Fiction: Black eye? No problem! Just put a raw steak on it

Fiction: Children with crossed eyes can’t be treated
