Dr. Jacob Lock
Dr. Jacob Lock is a native of Pensacola, Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of West Florida (UWF), while attending undergrad he worked as a technician at Gulf Coast Vision Center. He subsequently pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Kentucky College of Optometry, where he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa academic honor society and graduated cum laude.
During his education, Dr. Lock gained extensive clinical experience through rotations at several distinguished eye care providers. Brill Eye Center in Kansas City, where he honed his skills in providing comprehensive eye care, fitting both soft and specialty contact lenses, and managing dry eye disease. His training continued at Milan Eye Center in Atlanta, where he focused on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, including macular degeneration, glaucoma, and ocular emergencies. Dr. Lock completed his externship at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, where he helped provide pre- and post-operative care for cataract and glaucoma procedures, while also assisting in the management of advanced glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, as well as other complex ocular conditions.
After completing his education, Dr. Lock rejoined Gulf Coast Vision Center as a provider, with a commitment to delivering exceptional eye care to the Pensacola community. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Lock enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and German Shepherd.
