Dr. Sharon Branscome
Dr. Sharon Branscome is a native of Kingstree, SC. She attended Francis Marion University in Florence, SC with the intention of completing a degree in Accounting. It was at this time that she acquired a job position in optical sales and gained an appreciation for the eye care industry and the profession of Optometry. While completing her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the academic honor societies Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. She graduated from Francis Marion University Summa Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelors in Business Administration in General Business and was accepted into the Optometry program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. While at UAB, she was a member of the academic honor society Beta Sigma Kappa.
After graduation from UAB in 2006, Dr. Branscome relocated to Florida and began employment at Gulf Coast Vision Center until 2008. She was then involved in establishing and managing her own private Optometry practices in Niceville, Panama City, and Fort Walton Beach. In 2023, she was welcomed back to Gulf Coast Vision Center where she continues to provide comprehensive eye care including diabetic eye examinations, pre and post operative consultations for cataracts and LASIK procedures, examinations for eyeglasses and contact lenses, and treatment and management of ocular diseases.
Dr. Branscome resides in Niceville with her husband and teenage girls. She has a passion for business management and is currently completing her Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management at the University of West Florida.
